CMV-EGFP-C1 Mammalian Expression Plasmid (pReg-CMV-EGFP-C1-v3)
Catalog ID: pReg-CMV-EGFP-C1-v3
This vector is a mammalian expression plasmid designed for robust transgene expression under the control of the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early promoter. The vector enables expression of enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) fusion proteins, making it suitable for fluorescence microscopy, protein localization studies, live-cell imaging, and gene expression analysis.
The multiple cloning site (MCS) is located at the C-terminus in the frame with EGFP.
It enables cloning of a gene of interest downstream of the EGFP coding sequence, resulting in expression of an EGFP-tagged protein with EGFP positioned at the N-terminus of the fusion protein.
Plasmid contains ampicillin resistance for bacterial selection and neomycin resistance gene for geneticin (G418) selection of stably transfected eukaryotic cells.
This plasmid is an excellent choice for researchers performing transient or stable transfection experiments in a wide range of mammalian cell lines. The bright EGFP reporter allows convenient visualization of transfected cells and monitoring of protein expression without additional staining.
Total vector size is 6141 bp.
