CMV-EGFP Mammalian Expression Plasmid (pReg-CMV-EGFP-v1)
Catalog ID: pReg-CMV-EGFP-v1
This vector is designed for robust constitutive expression of Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP) in a wide range of mammalian cell types. Expression of EGFP is driven by the human cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early promoter, providing high-level transgene expression in commonly used cell lines including HEK293, HeLa, CHO, COS-7, and many primary cell types.
EGFP serves as a convenient fluorescent reporter for monitoring transfection efficiency, gene expression, promoter activity, and cell tracking experiments. The bright green fluorescence can be readily detected by fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and other fluorescence-based assays.
This plasmid is suitable for transient transfection studies, stable cell line generation, optimization of transfection protocols, and general molecular and cellular biology applications.
The CMV-EGFP plasmid backbone contains ampicillin resistance for bacterial selection before transfection and neomycin resistance gene for geneticin (G418) selection of stably transfected eukaryotic cells.
Total vector size 6107 bp.
